Hainault Baptist Church is celebrating its 77th Anniversary this next week.

We are celebrating with an Anniversary tea on Saturday 25th Feb, at 3pm in the church hall, all are welcome to come and celebrate with us. Then to follow on Sunday 26th Feb we have a guest speaker from More Then Gold a Christian organisation who are focusing on spreading the christian message through the Olympic Games in London this year and as always service starts at 10am and we would love to see you!

Sunday 16^th October, 2011, David keyed up 50 Years as the church Organist.

It was in 1961 that members’ asked David to consider becoming organist, and there he stayed, with no thought of retirement yet mentioned.

Although not in the habit of wearing his gown each week, the minister, Revd. Jan Larkins, insisted that he be robed for this special celebration day.

Later that day, David was given a tie in the shape of a keyboard – but it doesn’t have enough keys to accompany the singing.

Dear Parents and Girls
Welcome back after the summer break. I hope you all enjoyed the holidays and feel refreshed.
We had a few lovely hot summer days, which were a welcome relief from some of the dull cloudy rainy days.

The Girls have experienced several happy outings, and we look forward to a new programme commencing in Sept. I understand a new awards system, from G.B. Headquarters has been put into place nationally, which will take effect as from now. I see this as changes to the badge system, more challenging and exciting activities for the Girls to explore, plus the costs of subscriptions will inevitably go up!
Captain (Jennie) will be informing the Girls about what is happening in our Company in the forthcoming weeks.
May I remind you that subscriptions, £25 for the next half year were due at the beginning of July. Have you paid yours!! Please pay NOW – many thanks.
September 25th .is a parade service for Harvest Festival. We do hope you can join us. Girls to be at Church in uniform by 9.45am.

Day in Hainault Forest 5.5.11

Together with my Grandson I joined Dianne and some of the Girls, and one Dad, at Hainault Forest for a Treasure Hunt.
The Children had plenty of fun trying to find the objects from their list. We walked around the Lake, ticking off our list as we searched. We spent time together eating our picnic lunch, before going to the play park. Before coming home the Girls had Ice-Creams.

Tropical Wings 9.6.11

I loved Tropical Wings. My best animal was the Wallabies and my worst animal was the goats. I like the Wallabies because they jumped all over me but I did not like the goats because they bit me!.

Tropical Wings was very fun and I saw a bird with a very long beak. It scared me first but then I got used to it. Then I had an Ice Cream!!

I liked Tropical Wings. I loved watching the Otters being fed and watching them swim in the water. We bought things with our money. I bought a pencil case

Canal Boat Weekend 1-3.7.11

I went to the Canal Boat on the Saturday evening and stayed until Sunday evening. It was really fun. I enjoyed doing the locks. The boat is really, really long, like about 50 foot long. The boat was difficult to handle but we all got to steer. The weather was hot and it was a lovely weekend. All the Girls that went really enjoyed it. I can’t wait to go again!

On the Canal boat we went through locks and I really enjoyed it.On the way back we got an Ice-Lolly and it was really yummy!!
